Quick Update: Melissa and Doug Wooden Block Set

Melissa & Doug 60-Piece Standard Unit BlocksI was doing a little Christmas shopping yesterday and ran across a bargain!  I have had this 60 piece standard unit block set from Melissa and Doug in my shopping cart forever.  We already have one set of them but another set would allow for more elaborate creations!  Plus, I love natural toys -- especially ones I consider "heirloom" to pass on to my children once they grow up!

I wanted to share this with you before Amazon's price changes.  I haven't seen them priced below $44 since I've had them in my cart for the past year (sheepish grin -- I wanted to buy them last Christmas)!  The regular price is $59.99, but they are on sale for $37.15 (a 38% savings)!!

Don't forget to use your Swag Bucks Amazon gift cards if you have some!  I have been saving up for Christmas, so this works perfectly!!

Usborne Book Opportunity!!

I don't normally use this blog to promote my Usborne Book business specials, but this is just such an amazing opportunity!  I have never seen a starter kit priced so low!

Starting today at http://www.usbornecrazy.com/, you can go to the site and look under Income Opportunities.  You will see a Game Time kit (under "View Specials") for only $20 (free shipping included)!  This kit comes with 11 books and tons of business supplies!  IT IS AMAZING!  Maybe you are looking for a fun home-based business, or maybe you just want to build your home library (or get some books for gifts).  With a kit priced this low, you can get the books, host your own home show (and earn double free books from that), and end up with all of this (plus your home show books) for free!

I just adore Usborne Books!  I started selling them because I wanted to build my home library, but I've continued selling them because they are high-quality, engaging, and award-winning books!  I love helping people earn free books!

In order to receive the kit for just $20, you must sign-up by August 30th (you must sell $200 in retail in the first 12 weeks, but that is easily done with just one or two shows)!  Send me an email if you have any questions!

Show Hope

Last April, I ran my first 1/2 marathon in Nashville!  I guess I never really blogged about it (you can read my thoughts on the race here), but it was an amazing experience!  I ran in memory of my dad for the charity Show Hope.  Show Hope provides grants for those trying to adopt, and they also have a special place called Maria's Big House of Hope to provide medical attention and surgeries for orphans.

Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman began Show Hope after adopting three little girls from China (you can read more about it here).  After a tragic accident took the life of one of the little girls, Mary Beth has written a book entitled Choosing to See (soon to be released) on the struggle and hope of that experience.  If you pre-order this book by August 17th through FamilyChristian.com (search for Choosing to See), two dollars from every sale will go to support the operating expenses of Maria's Big House of Hope.  You'll also receive a special CD with two songs from Steven Curtis Chapman's latest release Beauty Will Rise.

This is a great way to support a wonderful charity!
