Gumdrop Flower Garden Cake

Another "Tasty Tuesday" idea for our Flower theme!

I made this cake for my youngest daughter's birthday as a spin-off of a cake I saw at FamilyFun.  We baked our cake in three loaf pans.  We put two of the loaves together for the flower bed and covered it with frosting.  Then, we put on the Vienna Finger cookies and sprinkled crushed-up Oreos for the dirt.  I flattened out the gumdrops for the tulips using a rolling pin (lay them on wax paper dusted with sugar and put another layer of wax paper on top before you roll them out.  Then dip them in sugar, so they will be less sticky!).  I used toothpicks to hold the daisies together.  We cut the other loaf cake in half, covered it with frosting, and sprinkled it with green-tinted coconut for grass!
