Saturday Savings: Keeping My House Clean with the Motivated Mom's Planner

It's that time of year where I'm going crazy trying to get organized for the spring semester.  It's also the time of year where the *uncleanliness* of my house starts to get on my nerves.  But this year, I'm doing much better with that thanks to this planner over at Motivated Moms!!

I love this planner, because it has a checklist for each day.  All of the household chores are broken into manageable chunks -- and it includes everything from changing batteries in your smoke alarm to cleaning the microwave to clipping the children's nails.  It has all those things I know I should be doing (but can't seem to remember).

The planner is available in several formats including full-size, 1/2 size, 1 day per page, 1 week per page.  You can also choose to have a Bible Reading plan (or not).  There are lots of options!

The planner is usually $8, but I have a special code to get you $1 off!

Here's how to do it:
1)  Go to Motivated Moms
2)  Order a planner
3)  Enter the code 1OFF at check-out to receive $1 off

All you have to do is download, print, and you're ready to go!  Let me know what you think!

I think we all can organize our homes and classrooms without a book, we saw our mothers doing it,we see the things around that need to be changed. Not that I desagree with having one...but you asked what we thought.Laura Oreamuno.Costa Rica,Cental America.

No problem, Laura! Unfortunately some of us didn't have moms that organized! My mom did okay, but she didn't really teach me the ins-and-outs. I like having a checklist to keep me motivated and help me remember all those small things I forget about doing. It's not really a book on how to clean -- just a reminder about what to do!

I use the i-phone app and love it. With the app, you can also assign tasks to other people - 3 year old feeds dog daily, you can add other chores at an interval for the entire year - take out recycling every other Tuesday, give dog medicine 1st of every month, and hide chores you don't do in your house - the kitchen and bathroom towel rotation is different than what I use so I just hide that task. I can't say I do everything everyday but when I'm using this system my house is much more cleanish and organized than when I'm not.
