Montessori Monday - Concentration and Hand Strength

Add a few drops of food coloring to water.  Place the water in one dish.  Have your child use a baster (at first) or medicine (or eye) dropper to transfer water from one container to the other.  You will need to demonstrate how to squeeze the bulb when the dropper is under water and then squeeze it again to put the water in the other container.  Show them how to clean up any drips or spills.

This is a great way to develop concentration.  It also strengthens hands in preparation for writing.
