12 Days of Christmas Carols and Crafts: O, Christmas Tree!

Today's Carol: O, Christmas Tree.
*You can find the words and music here.

You need:
Four craft sticks
Scissors
Paint or markers or crayons
Glue
Buttons, stickers, or other embellishments

1)  You'll need two full craft sticks and two cut craft sticks.  Cut one stick about 2/3 across.  Cut the other approximately 4/5 across.

2)  Paint or color each stick green (we fingerpainted)!  Allow to dry.

3)  Use a full stick for the trunk and bottom branch.  Glue the branches on the "trunk" (I prefer to use a hot glue gun, but regular school glue will work -- just allow plenty of drying time).

4)  Add embellishments.

Finish the tree by adding a magnet to the back or tie a ribbon for hanging!

I'm sharing this at ABC & 123:  Show-and-Tell

How did you cut the craft sticks??? Will regular scissors work?

I would loop a small ribbon and hot glue it to the top of the "trunk"! Hope that helps!

Jenae,
Yes - I just used scissors! Good mom scissors! Not the little kid ones!

Oh, these tree decorations are so lovely. We have made lots of them as well. And yours have turned out very well.

We were lazy, we used already painted lollipop sticks :)

Happy Holidays!

We just made these this morning! I went to Michael's to find just normal craft sticks and they didn't have any...so we got the pre-colored ones. It made it even easier of a project! :)
